The Washington Township Schools are a community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade from Washington Township, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The district includes five schools and a central office.

As of the 2007-08 school year, the district's four schools had an enrollment of 2,863 students and 161.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 17.8.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]

Students in grades 9-12 attend West Morris Central High School, which is located in Washington Township, but has a Chester mailing address, and is part of the West Morris Regional High School District. Students in the district come from the surrounding Morris County school districts of Chester Borough, Chester Township, Mendham Borough, Mendham Township and from Washington Township.[4]
